Who Am I?
I believe that strong, active local communities matter more than ever. We need representatives who truly listen and who stand up for what is right for their community. That belief underpins everything I do as a councillor.

Since being elected as a Borough Councillor in 2023, I have thrown myself into the role with energy and commitment. I work hard on behalf of residents — whether at Council meetings, through committee work, or out and about in the ward. I welcome the challenges of the role and have particularly enjoyed meeting residents, taking up local causes, and championing issues that matter to Weybridge. A significant highlight has been a campaign that successfully secured an HGV ban through our town.
I serve on a number of Council committees, including Overview and Scrutiny, Licensing and the Countryside Consultative Group. These roles allow me to play an active part in shaping local policy and holding decision-making to account on behalf of residents.
Weybridge has been my home for over 20 years. My two (now grown-up) children went to school here, and I remain deeply rooted in the community. You’ll often find me out walking with my labradors, Dexter and Jasper, or at my allotment, where I enjoy both gardening and helping to bring the allotment community together — running charity quiz nights, mentoring new gardeners, and supporting local projects.
Before taking early retirement, I worked for IBM in a number of senior HR management roles. As a trusted advisor, I handled complex and sensitive matters with discretion, diplomacy, and fairness. That experience has proved invaluable in my councillor role, enabling me to bring practical problem-solving skills and business insight to local government.
Beyond the council chamber, I volunteer actively across Weybridge and Elmbridge, including as:
-
Member of the Weybridge Health Centre Patient Participation Group
-
Governor at St James Primary School
-
Co-Chair of Weybridge Community Rail
-
Trustee and committee member of WAHGA (Weybridge Allotment Holders’ and Gardeners’ Association)
-
Trustee and Site Manager of Oatlands 1914–1919 War Memorial Allotments
-
Deputy Regional Representative for the South East Region (Surrey, Sussex and Kent) for the National Allotment Society
I love to be busy and always have a project on the go! I’m a keen environmentalist, a passionate advocate of diversity, and above all, an enthusiastic representative of Weybridge residents. It is an honour to serve the St George’s Hill ward, and a responsibility I take on with full commitment.
